- The Durango Herald Celebrates The Fourth of July

To celebrate Independence Day this year, The Durango Herald took to Main Ave. in Durango’s Stars and Stripes 4th of July Parade. With a float festively decorated with red, white, and blue garland, balloons, flags, and streamers, Herald employees handed out candy, Durango Herald pens, and Herald branded frisbees to parade goers as they packed the sidewalks.
“We had fun joining the community in celebrating freedom in this year’s Durango Stars and Stripes Parade. We thank everyone that came out to show their patriotism,” said Shelly Tanner, Director of Circulation Operations.
“This community loves it’s newspaper and the Fourth of July parade was the perfect time to underscore the importance of journalism and great coverage we provide greater Durango, and the kids just loved the treats,” explained David Habrat, Vice President of Sales for the Newspaper and Directory Division.
